Clinical Pathology: Blood Banking and Transfusion, St. Louis, Missouri | March and Ongoing
One of our partnering facilities is seeking Locums Clinical Pathology coverage for Blood Banking and Transfusion services beginning March and ongoing. The locums will be working in the Apheresis clinic providing direct supervision for apheresis procedures and consulting with the patient's primary medical team to guide the selection of appropriate tests, interpret complex lab results, and ensure the apheresis treatment plan aligns with the patient's overall care. Candidates with Board Certification in AP/CP and Blood Banking and Transfusion, as well as Missouri licensed or active IMLC licensure, are highly sought after. Details/Requirements:
--Start: March and ongoing
--Seeking Board Certified AP/CP and/or Clinical Pathologists who are sub-specialized in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine
--Need 1-2 weeks per month of coverage, ongoing
--Will be working primarily in an Apheresis Clinic during the week (M-F from 8A-5P) and/or doing specimen review
--Will be required to do specimen review for 1-2 weeks each month
--Procedures: apheresis procedures, such as therapeutic plasma exchange, red blood cell exchange, stem cell collection, and white blood cell reduction
--Anticipated daily patient volume: 14-16 per day
--AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist with Secondary BC in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine required
--Fellowship in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine preferred
--Active Missouri license or IMLC - must have active license prior to starting privileges
Facility Details:
--Two NPs in clinic
--Pathology attendings will be available to support locums during assignment
--EMR: EPIC
--Hospital Privileging timeframe: 90 days
