Urgent Locum Tenens Job | Pathologists’ Assistant (PA)

We are seeking a high-caliber, adaptable Pathologists’ Assistant for a temporary assignment in Nevada. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing a high-volume workload with precision and autonomy.

Position Details:
--Schedule: Monday – Friday.
--Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch).
--Autonomy: You will serve as the primary PA on-site. While you must be comfortable working independently, Pathologists are available nearby for specimen review and consultation.

Caseload & Volume:
--Daily Volume: 50–80 specimens per day.
--Throughput: 150–250 blocks per day.
--Specimen Diversity: High complexity and variety, including routine surgicals, oncology cases (colon, breast, prostate), dermatology, women’s health, and small biopsies.

Candidate Requirements:
--Licensure: Must qualify for a State of Nevada Pathologists’ Assistant License.
--Preferred Credential: Strong preference for candidates who qualify for the State of Nevada General Supervisor License.
--Soft Skills: Must demonstrate excellent communication, a team-player mentality, and the ability to maintain high quality under pressure.
