Pathology Physician Locum Tenens Job in Texas

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Pathology physician for a locum tenens position in Texas. To qualify, candidates must have a Texas state medical license at the time of presentation. Must also be board certified or eligible as a Pathologist.

Dates of Coverage: 
--June 9–13
--August 18–22
--August 25–29
*Typically 1-2 weeks per month ongoing

Job Requirements for Assignment #108447
* Texas state medical license
* Board Certified/Eligible Pathologist
* Temporary privileges available
* Typically 20-30 cases per day depending on the complexities
* Two other permanent pathologists available to assist with reads
* Lab responsibilities: gross and cover frozens first day, then read slides next day, etc.
* General Pathologist who can perform their own grossing/frozens
* Case mix is biopsies (GI, cervix, embs, some skins from plastic surgeon)
* IR biopsies with adequacy assessments
* Some big cases, malignant and benign colons, breast, thyroids
* There are bone marrows, but other Pathologists are willing to take those of locums isn't comfortable
* Helpful and kind support staff
* Must have case logs from the past year to qualify for hospital privileges
