As the second full-time pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert anesthetic care for complex cardiac cases. • Provide high-quality, safe anesthetic care for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology procedures, and general pediatric surgery/procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and develop appropriate anesthetic plans.
  • Manage patients' physiological status during complex procedures, including invasive monitoring techniques.
  • Participate actively in post-operative care coordination and pain management.
  • Collaborate effectively with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, pediatric intensivists, perfusionists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and safety practices within the growing cardiac program.
  • Participate fairly in the shared, from-home call rotation.
  • Potentially contribute to the education and training of fellows, residents, or students as the program develops.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatric Anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or equivalent.
  • Training:
    • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship is required.
