(Login for Information) in conjunction with (Login for Information), is seeking Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physicians to be part of the (Login for Information). This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a leading institution dedicated to innovating healthcare delivery, advancing research, and educating the next generation of medical professionals.
What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to serve the growing needs of the regional pediatric population in Central Texas.
- Care for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease, in addition to heart failure/transplant/mechanical circulatory support patients.
- Participate in coordinated transport/intake efforts to a dedicated, 36 bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
- Engage in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with medical and adjunct specialties to allow for the pursuit of innovative program development and clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Meets applicable credentialing and privileging standards for his/her specialty.
- Board certification or board eligible within two (2) years of completion of training.
- Has additional training in pediatric cardiac critical care (not required if dual boarded).
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment).
- Demonstrated leadership, clinical teaching ability, and communication skills.
- Must possess tenacity, self-motivation and initiative necessary to drive the development and maintenance of established and new programs.
- A track record of being able to lead, direct, and influence a team (regardless of reporting lines).
- Demonstrates behaviors of a team player.
- Eligible for appointment as an assistant professor or higher in the (Login for Information).
