Pediatric Critical Care Physician Locums Job in Texas | Coverage from 10/13/2025 - 12/18/2025 | Assignment #110879

Coverage Needed
-- 10/13 7AM to 10/23 7AM
-- 11/10 7AM to 11/15 7AM
-- 12/8 7AM to 12/18 7AM

Shift Description:
--The Pedi ICU assignment includes covering the 5 PICU beds, floor beds forunassigned patients, Sedations, NO CLINIC

Requirements:
--Board eligible or certified
--Fellowship preferred
--Must be licensed in Texas
--BLS, ABLS, PALS certifications
--Minimum call response time is 20 minutes
--Ventilation Management, Newborn and Pediatrics - Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy), Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), Familiarity with use of nitric oxide
--Chest tube insertion
--Evaluation and management of acute volume/blood pressure issues
--Insertion of Central lines, Arterial lines
--Exchange transfusion
--X-ray and EKG interpretation  - exchange transfusion
--ICP evaluation & Management – ICP monitor placement
--Hemodialysis catheter placement
--Diagnostic/therapeutic taps – Lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
--Conscious and deep sedation• Central line, Asterial lines
--UVC, UAC
--Needle pneumothorax – Decompression
--Suturing minor lacerations
--Swallow studies

Assignment Details:
--Covering PICU (PICU 5 beds) and floor patients, including sedations
--EMR: Epic
--Patients per shift: 3-5
--Beds in department: 15
--Support staff includes 1-2 Registered Nurses
--Phone consultations: 4-5
--Patients seen: 3-7
--Admissions: 3-4
--Level 4 Trauma Facility
--Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 20 days
