Facility is seeking Locum BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to provide coverage
- We are looking to add to our locum bench for future coverage.
- Schedule: Truly varied shifts: 7a–3p, 8a–6p, 9a–6p, 3p–11p, 4p–1a. Weekend coverage required.
- Trauma Level/Designation: Level I
- Annual ER Volume: 101,692
- Number of ED Physicians in Group: 23
- % of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 81%
- % of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 12%
- % of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 0.002%
- Fast Track in ED: Yes
- Fast Track Staffed by: MD and APP
- % of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40%
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- Locum Physician Required to Supervise: Yes — APPs and Residents
- ED Staff Respond to House Codes: No
- ED Responsible for Monitoring/Supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by Radio: Yes
- On-Call Physician Response Time (per bylaws): 60 minutes
- EKG Interpretations: Initially read by ED MD, then reviewed by Cardiology
- ED Physicians/ED Residents write admission orders only. ARD (Admission Residents on Duty) writes all care orders.
- Has a communication center. Referring hospitals contact the communication center, which then contacts the ED MD to speak directly with the referring hospital.
- Ambulance Response: has NICU + ACLS + Transport Team. Local EMS transports patients from scene.
