About the Clinician's Workday

The clinician will provide comprehensive pediatric hematology-oncology care through both inpatient and outpatient services. Inpatient duties include rounding on hospitalized patients, managing consultations, and responding to requests from nursing staff, residents, and emergency department personnel. Outpatient responsibilities encompass conducting clinic encounters for chemotherapy infusions, follow-up appointments, and new consultations with an average caseload of 5-10 patients per day. Required procedures include lumbar punctures, intrathecal chemotherapy administration, and bone marrow aspirates and biopsies for both settings.
