Pediatric Hospitalist Locums Job in Mississippi | On Call Coverage Ongoing | Beginning in July | Assignment # 110249

Coverage Needed: On call coverage July 21, 2025 (7am) – July 29, 2025 (7am) then alternating every other week coverage 

Shift Description: On call (call response time: 30 minutes) 

Requirements:   
--Admissions required 
--Board certified or board eligible  
--Licensed in MS or IMLC 
--BLS, PALS, NRP certifications 
--Skills required: non-invasive ventilation management (neo-puff), ventilation management newborn (acute and chronic), ventilation management pediatric (acute and chronic), intubation ETT/NT (newborn and pediatrics), conscious sedation, deep sedation, central line, arterial lines, UVC, UAC, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, needle pneumothorax (decompression), X-ray interpretation, EKG interpretation (PA catheter and exchange transfusion), suturing minor lacerations, circumcision (type), and swallow studied 

Assignment Details:  
--EMR: Athena/Cerner 
--Practice setting: Inpatient 
--Hospital is stroke certified 
--Temporary privileges available - credentialing 10 days 
--Patients per shift: 2-3, Average Admissions 2-3 
--Beds in department: 25 
--Trauma level: 4 
--Provider not required to supervise APP or residents 
--Coverage needed to cover on call for pediatrics, level II NICU/Nursery, moderate to high-risk deliveries (32 weeks and up) and all c-sections, and emergency room consults 
--No PICU at facility 
--RT staffed 24hr a day that does respond with RRT
