Pediatric Nephrology Locums Job in Arizona | Clinic + Inpatient + Call | Beginning March 23, 2026 – Ongoing | Assignment #113947

Coverage Details
-- March 23 – March 29, 8 AM – 5 PM (clinic) + 24-hour unrestricted call
-- One week per month ongoing
-- Dual facility coverage 

Shift Description
-- Clinic coverage Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
-- Thursdays reserved for administrative duties or hospital coverage
-- Thursday clinic time may convert to dialysis clinic coverage as needed
-- 24-hour unrestricted call
-- Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient consult coverage
-- Inpatient coverage includes telephonic consults and rounding before or after clinic hours

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology
-- Active Arizona license or active IMLC
-- Ability to commit to one week per month on an ongoing basis

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Acute hemodialysis
-- Chronic hemodialysis
-- Hemofiltration

Duties
-- Admit patients to the appropriate level of care
-- Perform history and physical examinations
-- Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and manage pediatric nephrology patients
-- Interpret radiologic studies of the kidney and urinary tract, including vascular access imaging
-- Perform balloon angioplasty for vascular access and manage access-related procedures
-- Manage peritoneal catheters
-- Perform renal ultrasounds
-- Evaluate and manage renal transplant patients, including medical management of complications

Assignment Details
-- Practice mix: 80% pediatric clinic, 20% pediatric hospital
-- Average clinic volume: 8 scheduled patients per day
-- Average inpatient census: 2 patients per day
-- Outpatient clinic coverage with inpatient consults as needed
-- Inpatient work is consult-only
-- Hospital consult coverage is either telephonic or rounding before or after clinic hours
