Pediatric Nephrology Locums Job in Minnesota | Weekday + Limited Weekend Coverage | 10/1/25 - 8/31/26 | Assignment #111278

Coverage Details
-- Coverage Dates: 10/1/25 – 08/31/26
-- 3–5 providers needed depending on availability
-- Inpatient coverage at two facilities (~10 minutes driving distance)

Shift Description
-- Weekday coverage: Monday–Friday
-- Weekend coverage: ~1 weekend per quarter (no more than 7 consecutive days)
-- Weekend/Holiday: ~10 hours/day rounding + consults at both sites + overnight pager call

Call Details
-- Overnight pager call applies only to Location 1’s coverage
-- Covers both locations
-- Occasional in-person evening/overnight care (~1x/month) for acute hemodialysis or CRRT starts at one location only

Requirements
-- Must be comfortable with procedures including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Aquadex

Location 1
-- ~10 hours/day in-person rounding and inpatient consults
-- Overnight pager call required
-- Consults include general nephrology, transplant nephrology, PICU/CVICU, and BMT patients
-- Typical census: 8–12 patients/day
-- Procedures: hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Aquadex
-- Weekly rounding in on-site hemodialysis unit required
-- Overnight pager call covers both locations
-- Occasional in-person evening/overnight care (~1x/month) for acute hemodialysis or CRRT

Location 2
-- ~8 hours/day in-person rounding and inpatient consults
-- ~2 hours/day rounding on Location 1’s NICU
-- Consults include general nephrology, PICU/CVICU, and NICU patients
-- Typical census: 6–10 patients/day
-- Procedures: peritoneal dialysis and CRRT + Aquadex
-- No overnight pager call for rounding physician
