Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a board certified Pediatrician to join our growing team who is able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. With excellent communication, interpersonal, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, you will play a vital role in our mission to deliver food freedom! No prior experience in food allergy care is necessary. We offer a comprehensive 2-month training program designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this specialty and caring for patients in our food allergy treatment program. This training is designed to rival the depth and quality of a fellowship, ensuring you are fully equipped to handle pediatric food allergy cases with confidence
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for both direct and indirect patient care and management. The pediatrician is responsible for proper documentation, execution of office visits, chart preparation, prescriptions, orders and administrative duties.
- Develops and implements treatment plans according to FAI guidelines.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of all appointment types and maintains a full schedule of patients
- Demonstrates strong understanding of TIP and provides TIP based education.
- Observes, records and reports patients’ vitals and reactions to all administered treatments.
- Completes visit preparation including questionnaires and the resolution of clarifications accurately and timely according to the established schedule.
- Consults and coordinates with other health care providers working at any FAI clinic.
- Responds to patient reactions situations and manages and stabilizes grade 1, 2, 3 reactions in clinic and on call as needed.
- Appropriate identification and documentation of comorbidities.
- Appropriate referrals and recommendations communicated and documented.
- Participates in rounds with providers and escalation management within the physician assigned pod including plans, phone calls and follow up management.
- Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations; and exercise independent judgment.
- Contributes to quality improvement projects within the clinic.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Active CA medical license
- Board certified in Pediatrics
- BLS & PALS certification
- Valid DEA license
- National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
- Maintain current Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite Proficient
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
