Pediatrician - Clinical Genetics
Philadelphia, PA | Full-Time (M-F, No Weekends) | Level I Trauma Center
Introduction: (Login for Information) seeks a dedicated Pediatrician for our partner, a leading Philadelphia Level I Trauma Center and medical center. This role offers opportunities to provide comprehensive genetic services, with involvement in education and research.
Position Overview: As a Pediatrician specializing in genetics, you'll provide expert clinical genetics consultations and screenings for pediatric inpatients and outpatients. You will address diverse conditions like suspected genetic syndromes, birth defects, developmental delays, and cancer predispositions, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive genetics consultations for pediatric inpatients and outpatients.
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with birth defects, chronic diseases, developmental delays, and suspected genetic disorders.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, genetic counselors, nursing staff, and administrative personnel.
- Develop and lead educational programs in genetics for medical residents and students; actively participate in relevant research.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO); completed residency and fellowship training for Board Eligibility/Certification in Clinical Genetics & Genomics (ABMGG).
- Unrestricted Pennsylvania State Medical License (or ability to obtain); DEA certification.
