Pediatrics job located in LA CROSSE, Wisconsin

Pediatric Hospitalist needed to join the authority in medicine and partner with the nation's best hospital (U.S. News & World Report 2021-2023), ranked #1 in more specialties than any other care provider. Join a highly respected, physician-led multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate would specialize in general Ortho with a strong interest in supplying a full complement of Orthopedic services. This is a thriving and established group.The ideal candidate will join a team of experienced pediatric hospitalists plus a team of outpatient pediatricians, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and an on-staff Neonatologist. .   Direct care of neonatal patients aged 0 to 44 weeks post menstrual age within the hospital.   Consultations with colleagues on patients aged 0 to 18 years from within the region (clinic or hospital-based).   Inpatient consults as requested .   Collaboration with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, as needed.   Precepting and direct teaching of residents and other trainees, as re: Research and other academic pursuits.  The standard shift is 7 days x 24 hours per day and hospitalists are scheduled for 1 of these 7 x 24 shift blocks each month. In addition, hospitalists have the option to work additional shifts above and beyond the 7 days per month..  City of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Madison, WI.  Constructing a state-of-the-art replacement hospital, opening in 2024..
