Job Description
The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLA) seeks a mission-driven, patient-focused Physiatrist to provide exceptional rehabilitative care in outpatient rehabilitation clinics. The role includes managing spinal cord injury consults, sports medicine, wheeled mobility, general rehabilitation, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams like Polytrauma Network Sites and the Spinal Cord Injury System of Care.
Key responsibilities involve overseeing clinical services, mentoring residents and fellows, engaging in strategic planning and performance improvement, and participating in research within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS).
The position requires U.S. citizenship, an MD/DO degree, an unrestricted medical license in the U.S., completed residency, and board certification in PM&R. The job offers a competitive salary range of $240,000 - $300,000, 50-55 days of paid time off per year, comprehensive insurance, pension and Thrift Savings Plan with a 5% match, continuing education funds, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
