Inpatient PM&R Physician Locums Job in Georgia | Start mid-July | Consistent Coverage Needed

One of our partnering hospitals needs full-time Locums PM&R coverage beginning mid-July and ongoing until permanent physicians are hired. They currently operate with a 7 on 7 off model and will accept 2-3 candidates to cover 1 FTE. Locums will be working independently in 29 bed inpatient rehab unit, covering stroke and general medical patients, doing joint injections and no other procedures. Locums will be on call overnight and on weekends. Please contact Mary Joyner if you or a colleague is interested.

Scope of Practice:
--Inpatient Rehab unit, 24-hour call 8 hours on site Monday-Friday, morning rounds on weekends 
--Procedures: Mostly joint injections (no pain management or EMG/NCV) 
--Patient mix: Stroke and general medical patients

Schedule and Call:
--Schedule: Currently 7 on 7 off schedule.  Weekdays – approximately 8 hours with on call at night. Weekends- rounds in AM then on call.
--Looking for full-time coverage - candidates with 1-4 weeks available ideal 
--Patient census: 14 patients in unit with 29 potential beds

Facility Setup and Support:
--Facility type: Community hospital 
--Multidisciplinary team (PT/OT/SLP, case manager, neuropsych, etc.) in unit 
--Fully staffed 24/7 hospitalist program at the hospital for codes and rapid responses
--Temporary privileges can be granted

Other Requirements:
--Georgia license or active IMLC
--Board Certified highly preferred
