Job Description

  • Monday – Friday, full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Long-Term Contract 1 year to 5 years
  • No On-Call Requirements

This role is part of a specialized interdisciplinary care model focused on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), neurological conditions, and behavioral health, delivering integrated, patient-centered care to active-duty service members.

Clinical Duties

  • Provide comprehensive PM&R services for patients with TBI and associated neurological and behavioral health conditions
  • Perform patient evaluations, diagnosis, and development of individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver rehabilitative care focused on improving functional outcomes and readiness
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, including neurology, behavioral health, audiology, and case management
  • Support care coordination and long-term treatment planning with referring providers

Interdisciplinary & Program Support

  • Participate in integrated care model combining rehabilitation, neurological care, and behavioral health
  • Contribute to patient-centered treatment planning and outcomes tracking
  • Work closely with ISC leadership and clinical teams to enhance patient care delivery

Administrative & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MHS Genesis 
  • Complete patient notes within 3 business days
  • Respond to patient communications within 1 business day 
  • Comply with DHA, MTF, and Joint Commission standards
  • Qualifications

    Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited PM&R residency program
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain military credentialing, privileging, and security clearance (Tier III)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Preferred

  • Experience treating TBI, concussion, or neurological rehabilitation patients
  • Experience in military, VA, or federal healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs

  • Work Environment & Expectations

  • Personal services contract working within a military treatment facility
  • Direct supervision comparable to federal/military staff
  • Collaborative, mission-driven environment supporting service member readiness and recovery
  • Government provides facilities, equipment, and clinical support staff
