Physician Assistant Hospital Based job located in Colorado

Northern Colorado facility
seeking a Locum OR First Assist Advanced Practice Provider to join cardiac surgery team
--Start date: September 2026
--4, 10-hour shifts per week + Call is one night per week and one weekend per month. 
--100% adult patients
--Surgery Expectation: 1-3 per day
--5  physicians in practice
--Mid-levels: 3 ORFA, 6 ICU, 2 Floor, 1 Clinic
--Locums not responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
--Other thoracic surgeons will be present during assignment 
--Lab and X-Ray Onsite
--ICU beds: 12 CICU
--Trauma Level 1
--Required Procedures:  
   - Proficient in all cardiac surgeries CABG with EVH and endoscopic radial harvesting
   - General CV/thoracic surgery
      Open
      Endoscopic
   - Coronary artery bypass surgery: on pump and off pump
   - Congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.)
   - Valvular repair
   - Valvular replacement
   - Aneurysm repair
   - Aneurysm repair- aorto-thoracic
   - Lung resection (including VATs)
   - Chest wall or pleural procedures
   - Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
   - Left ventricular assist devices 
   - Insertion of arterial line
--Only Cardiac Surgery Coverage is needed (not vascular)
--Required: Board Certification, BLS, OR First Assist Certification, CO license or able to obtain, covid vaccine, NPDB Self Query report within 30 days 
--Must be proficient in all cardiac surgeries CABG with EVH and endoscopic radial harvesting, valve surgeries, structural heart and aortic : minimum 6 months experience
--Must be able to insert/Remove arterial Lines
