Seeking an experienced, bilingual Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team in Rockford, Illinois.Highlights: Full-time position The Advance Practice Provider is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with our team of Medical Oncologists, PA and APRN He/she demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses, he/she will also provide care and educate patients and their families on wellness care and treatment plans for health disorders and intervenes in acute episodes He/she is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Responsibilities Include: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical exams Diagnose and manage oncologic conditions in collaboration with oncologists Develop and implement treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, and biopsies Manage treatment-related side effects, including nausea, pain, fatigue, and immunosuppressive complications Monitor patients for disease progression and response to treatment Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, side effects, and supportive care measures Guide patients on symptom management and lifestyle modifications Provide emotional support and coordinate referrals for mental health or social work services Work alongside oncologists, radiologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting Coordinate patient care, including referrals to radiation oncology, surgery, or specialty services Compensation/Benefits: Competitive salary range (based on experience): $128,939-$139,934 Generous vacation and CME benefits Potential opportunity for additional compensation Professional society dues, credentialing expenses andamp; hospital dues covered Interview and relocation expenses paid Health, dental, vision, disability and life Retirement Plan match and contribution Malpractice with tail coverage Generous provider referral bonus The Community: Enjoy the balance of a relaxed, affordable lifestyle with easy access to big-city energy, where historic neighborhoods, tree-lined streets, and riverfront views create a strong sense of place.
