CT Surgery PA-C 24-Hour Call Coverage Locums Job in Illinois | Seeking 10 Days of Call per Month Starting Late August & Ongoing | EVH Required

Jackson and Coker’s valued client in Illinois is seeking Cardiothoracic Surgery PA-C coverage for approximately 10 days per month, starting in late August and ongoing. The team is looking to partner with a dedicated Physician Assistant and is willing to be as flexible as they can with scheduling to work with your availability.

Coverage need: 
* Seeking 10 days per month of 24-hour call coverage starting late August/early September & ongoing
* Will primarily work in the hospital to do daily patient rounding, 1st assist in the OR, pre & post operative care & emergent consults
* Will also be required to see some clinic patients for post operative care, do suture/staple removal, pt education & some wound care

Privileging Requirements and Details for Assignment #115231:
* Board Certification or true Eligibility required
* Active Illinois license, DEA + CSR preferred, but willing to license
* Must provide documentation detailing a minimum of 500 hours of clinical services within the CT Surgery service line from the last 12 months (to include having worked as surgical 1st assist) 
* Must be able to provide the following case logs within the past 24 months: 10 vascular access placements, 24 vein harvest procedures, 2 chest tube placements 
* Must be able to do EVH and chest tube placements 
* Anticipated inpatient volume: will see 1-2 surgical cases per day 
* Staff information: 1 other CT APP, 2 CT Surgeons + several OR RNs + Surgical technicians 
* Facility detail: 150+ bed facility, Epic EMR, level 2 trauma designation
