General Surgery Physician Assistant Locums Job in Iowa | 14 Days Per Month Coverage | July Start | Assignment #109720

Coverage Needs: 
--Looking for 14 days per month starting July and ongoing
--24 Hours shifts with 12-hours onsite and 12-hours on Call

Assignment Details/Requirements:
- Job Responsibilities: Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, OR, clinic follow up.
- First Assist experience required
- Covering: Clinical, Surgical, Endoscopy, Trauma/General Surgery Call
- Support Staff/Team Structure:
- Number of Physicians: 2 physicians as of June 2025, 1 eGS acute surgicalist
- Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 2
- Supervision of APPs expected: Yes, General Surgery eGS acute surgicalist as the supervisor
- Nursing Support: 1 clinical staff per Physician
- Ancillary Staff per Provider: 2 receptionists per department
- Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms
- Volume: Mainly consults, current average hospital census 160 patients/day
- Requirements: Board Certification, Iowa license or compact
- Facility Information: Trauma Level 3, onsite medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy
- EMR: EPIC
