Neonatology Physician Assistant Locums Job in Nebraska | 24 & 12 Hour Shifts | Beginning January 5 – Ongoing | Assignment #112387

Shift Description
-- 24-hour and 12-hour shifts (No back-to-back 24s)
-- Full-time: 36 hours/week (ideally spread over weekends)
-- Require at least 2 weekends in a 6-week period
-- Days per month vary based on schedule (0.9 FTE or 72 hours/week)

Requirements
-- NCC Certification 
-- Nebraska License
-- BLS and NRP
-- Malpractice: Clean Highly Preferred

Required Procedures
-- Intubation
-- Umbilical line placement
-- Resuscitation
-- Ventilation
-- Lumbar puncture
-- PICC line insertion (minimal documented procedures required)

Assignment Details
-- Attend high-risk deliveries
-- Daily management of neonates down to 22 weeks gestation
-- Practice at 36-bed Level 3 non-surgical NICU
-- Manage large delivery service (~280 deliveries/month)
-- Academic responsibilities: mentor med students, residents, NNP students, and NNP orientees
-- Support Staff: RNs, RT, Pharmacist, Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Nutritionist
-- EMR: EPIC
