General Surgery Weekday Outpatient Locums Job in New Mexico | Seeking M-F Coverage Only | June 8 Start

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in south-central New Mexico who is losing a General Surgery NP due to relocating. While recruiting for a permanent replacement, the client is seeking clinic based support Monday - Friday starting June 8.

This is an opportunity for an outpatient focused position with no night or weekend call coverage.

Coverage need/specific schedule: 
* Will work Monday - Thursday from 8A - 5PM
* No on call requirements 

* Friday are a half day from 8A - 12PM 

Details/Requirements for Assignment #114760:
-- Active & unrestricted New Mexico license, DEA + CSR is required (not open to candidates without an active license)
-- Must have experience working in general surgery to include pre-operative evaluations, new consults & work ups for non-surgical candidates, in-office procedures such as drain removal, skin lesion biopsies, suture/staple removal, and wound care management, Reviewing surgical consent forms with patients, explaining the nature and effects of the procedures.
-- Must work efficiently within the EMR to provide comprehensive notes that translate well to surgeons 
-- Will need BLS, PALS, ACLS & ATLS certifications 
-- Average patient volume: 20 PPD 
-- Will have inpatient APP support & the standard collaborative support staff to also include working alongside residents 
-- Facility details: Epic EMR
