Medical Director and Clinical Psychiatrist Locums Job in the California Bay Area
Details/Requirements:
*Need is for a part-time or full-time locum tenens psychiatrist medical director for 28-40 hours a week.
*Locum tenens to permanent candidates with a 3-month locum tenens trial period.
*For locums to perm candidates, the need is for either 24 hours a week OR 40 hours a week.
*Will do a combination of medical director/administrative duties plus cover one of the units at the worksite location.
*For 40 hours a week option, the majority will be clinical work with only some medical director/admin duties.
*For 24 hours a week option, clinical and admin work would be an even split.
*Adult inpatient – rehabilitation level of care which is between an inpatient unit and a residential treatment center.
*96 bed hospital.
*Average daily census is 82 covered by 3 total doctors, including the locum tenens psychiatrist.
*Flexible regarding days worked each week as long as services are provided between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday
*No call.
*Physicals for H&Ps for new admissions are done by a hospitalist group, not the psychiatrist.
*Electronic health record, Avatar, so you must be computer savvy.
*All work is provided onsite, not via remote tele psychiatry.
*Takes approximately two weeks for credentialing.
*Board Certification is not required.
*Three month minimum assignments preferred.
*Patients must be seen at least once per week, and chart notes are typically done during treatment team meetings two hours each work day.
