Job Description
- Hybrid remote and in-person work
- Ample loan repayment opportunities for this Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA)
- Outpatient, no call, no weekends
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health Department. This position offers autonomy and the opportunity to take the lead in managing your patient panel. You will provide intake assessments, formulate treatment plans, and manage medications for a range of psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting.
Patient Population
Our practice serves a disadvantaged population, providing you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. We treat patients presenting with mild to moderate mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, schizophrenia, and ADHD.
We seek a well-rounded practitioner comfortable treating diverse mental health conditions or aspiring to grow into this role.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible Hours: Schedule is flexible! Build your own schedule within usual clinic operation hours. No on-call duties.
- Employment Type: Open to both full-time and part-time positions.
- In-Person or Hybrid Positions Available: While in-person work is preferred, we also offer a hybrid option, allowing for work from home some days per week.
- Appointment length: One hour for new patient visits and a half hour for follow up visits. Full-time providers have up to four hours a week for paid administrative time.
- Support Staff: We have a dedicated support staff for scheduling, prior authorizations, paperwork, and patient communication.
- Clinical Team: We are a team of eight providers including MDs and NPs, meaning we have robust coverage during vacations or leave.
- EMR: We currently use Cerner electronic health records and will transition to Epic in the coming years. Both are widely regarded as favorites among healthcare professionals for their efficiency and user-friendly design.
