Child/Adolescent/Transitional Age Youth Outpatient and Some Intensive Outpatient Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles, California Area
Details/Requirements:
--Two locations within 15-20 minutes of each other in the Greater Los Angeles area.
--Need 10-15 hours a week but starting with just 10 hours.
--Preferably 2 five hour days per week at one location and the same schedule the next week at the other location alternating weeks.
--Strongly prefer all onsite services, but 50/50 hybrid is a possibility with the caveat that the county may demand transition to 100% in person at any time.
--For hybrid, the doctor would work preferably two 5-hour days a week, one onsite and the other tele health.
--Hours: flexible between 8A-5P, Monday through Friday.
--No call – not often but may get a call about a patient with a medication issue or significant side effects. They will Teams or text the doctor. Texted the current doctor only once in 6 months. The doctor will be paid for their time at the regular hourly rate.
--Welligent is their E.H.R. – For tele health, they use Zoom.
--LPT and MH assistants and specialists serve as added support for the doctors regarding scheduling and getting documents ready, doing vitals, follow up on anything the doctor is requesting, etc.
--Patients: ages 0 to 25 – primarily outpatient but some IOP too. TAY 16-25 = 60%, and 40% child and adolescent. 10-15% co-occurring disorders primarily with their TAY population.
--Require a Board Certified Child Psychiatrist who’s willing to see young adults.
--Bilingual in Spanish is required.
--Credentialing takes about 2 weeks.
--Prefers 3-6 months minimum assignments.
