Crisis Stabilization Unit + Inpatient + In-Hospital Consults | Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in Southern California

Details/Requirements:
*Starts June 1 and ongoing to cover a new crisis stabilization unit coverage (CSU) which is the primary need plus the locums will see patients on the behavioral health inpatient unit (BHU) and plus do some in-hospital consults as needed.  
*Part-time doctor will float between seeing patients on the CSU and on the BHU plus some in-hospital consults in order to fill the doctor’s schedule for 4-5 hours a day, especially in the beginning when the CSU first opens.
*7-bed adult CSU, initially will be pretty slow or very low volume.  
*Four to five hours a day/20-25 hours a week, M-F, 1pm – 5pm or 6pm.
*Call is one week per month for night call only and only for the BHU after 5pm or 6pm to 8am Monday-Friday, not for in-hospital consults or CSU.  
*No weekend call.
*Takes approximately 3 to 3.5 months for hospital credentialing/privileging.  
*Client has an electronic health record so candidates must be computer literate. 
*Client prefers 6-month minimum assignments.
