Remote Telehealth ED and CSU Psychiatric Consults | Locums Job in the Los Angeles, California Metro Area
Details/Requirements:
*Need one doctor to do 4-6 twelve hour shifts per month.
*ED and CSU psych consults.
*Can assign specific days, but flexibility is a plus.
*Shift hours: 8pm to 8am.
*Mainly adult patients, but occasionally will see an adolescent.
*Average 6-9 patients per shift.
*Each locum tenens doctor must call back within one hour of receiving a call and must start seeing a patient within two hours of being called by the hospital.
*Electronic health records are EPIC and Meditech, possibly Cerner too.
*100% remote tele health services using Zoom.
*Hospital credentialing/privileging can be done within 60 days for all hospitals combined. Activity logs for the past two years and peer references usually take the longest.
*Client prefers 6-month minimum assignments and will consider locums or locums to perm candidates.
*Will consider doctors who are board eligible within two years of completing their residency. If not, then you must be board certified.
*Each hospital will provide training on their electronic health record system.
*Support staff: for difficult cases, the locum tenens doctor can reach out to the Client’s medical director and other doctors, and they have some NPs which do some of the tele health consults which limits the number of calls per night for the doctors.
