Southern California | Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Residential Treatment Psychiatrist Locums Job | Starting ASAP

Details/Requirements:
*Need is for 20 - 25 hours a week, depending on census, to cover two dual diagnosis residential treatment programs, one for boys, one for girls, in Southern California which can have as many as 18 patients, although the current census is 10.  18 beds total.  Both mental health and substance use.  
*Need is for 100% tele health services.  Client uses a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom for tele health.  Would love one onsite day per week, if possible.  If not, they are fine with all tele health.    
*Board Certified child psychiatrist is strongly preferred; however, if necessary, they will consider a board certified adult psychiatrist who’s experienced with adolescents ages 12-17, but most patients are ages 14-17.
*Average daily census is 15.
*Current census is 10 patients. 
*ALOS is 45 days.
*Hours: Client is somewhat flexible re: days/hours worked as long as they're between 8-5 M,W, Th, and Friday; however, Wednesdays are mandatory due to treatment team meetings between 10 am - 12 noon which the locum tenens doctor can attend virtually.
*The locums doctor will do initial evals and follow-ups which includes talking with the patient and their parents.  
*The doctor will average 1.5 hours per patient per week.  
*Most patients have co-occurring disorders, substance abuse primary diagnosis with depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. being secondary.  Some patients are straight mental health with no substance use.  
*Initial evaluations/assessments need to be completed within 48 hours of admission.
*No after-hours call!   
*Credentialing takes approximately 3-4 weeks, including a live scan, a full background check since this program works with adolescents, a TB test, etc. 
*Client has an E.H.R., so candidates must be computer literate.
*3-month minimum assignments with the possibility of extending if mutually agreed upon.
*Client prefers candidates who have residential treatment experience and experience treating patients with co-occurring disorders.
