Psychiatry Solo job located in Georgia

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as a Collaborating/Supervising Psychiatrist for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This role is primarily collaborative and consultative, in accordance with Georgia state laws and regulations.  

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner under a formal Collaborative Practice Agreement.
• Conduct patient chart reviews and audits as required by Georgia state law.
• Fulfill all state-specific requirements for a collaborating/supervising psychiatrist.
• Provide clinical guidance and consultation on complex cases, emergencies, and referrals.
• Participate in regular evaluations and check-ins with the assigned Nurse Practitioner regarding patient care and the collaborative relationship.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state laws, regulations, and professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license in good standing.
• Must reside in the state of Georgia.
• Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
