The hospital seeks a board-certified psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage in the outpatient psychiatry department. The facility maintains a collaborative environment with permanent medical staff and clinical support personnel. Credentialing requires 120 days with case logs from the past 12 months needed for privileges.

Northwestern Georgia offers diverse seasonal attractions centered around mountain scenery and agricultural activities. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, treating adult patients with psychiatric and medication management needs. The role requires conducting initial evaluations and follow-up appointments, with patient volume ranging from 8-12 per day. Board certification is required, and the clinician will work independently as the sole provider on site, utilizing EPIC EMR for documentation. No call requirements or telepsychiatry options are available for this position.
