Job Description
Step into a rare leadership opportunity at a mission-driven behavioral health clinic in Southern Michigan. We're seeking a BC/BE Adult or Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as the Associate Medical Director of our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)—a role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on clinical care, in a highly collaborative, patient-first setting.
The Role
50/50 split of clinical and administrative duties—lead while staying connected to patient care
Oversee psychiatric and medical services across the CSU, including nursing and support staff
Partner with the Medical Director to maintain clinical excellence and regulatory compliance
Supervise and mentor CSU medical staff (psychiatrists, NPs, PAs)
Play a pivotal role in recruitment and consultation for new psychiatric staff
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary with additional leadership incentives and bonus potential
Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, malpractice, and more
Enjoy up to 125 days off per year: 16 vacation days, 13 holidays, 6 personal days, and up to 90 sick days
Loan repayment available via NHSC and PSLF eligibility
Robust retirement plans with generous employer contributions
The Community
Cost of living ~10% below the national average, with a variety of housing options
Safe, welcoming neighborhoods with high-quality schools and family amenities
