About the Clinician's Workday

The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric consultations for adult patients in emergency department and medical floor settings, performing 8-10 evaluations daily while managing complex psychiatric conditions including delirium, mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and decision-making capacity assessments. Clinical duties include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to guide psychotropic medication use in medically complex patients, addressing behavioral concerns that impact medical care, and assisting with discharge planning and coordination of follow-up psychiatric services. The clinician will work full-time day shifts with call requirements, maintaining detailed documentation while providing specialized consultation liaison psychiatry services in a regional medical center environment that serves patients requiring integrated medical and psychiatric care.
