The county jail provides specialized psychiatric services for adult inmates requiring mental health treatment in a secure correctional environment. The facility maintains comprehensive behavioral health programs with dedicated resources for psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. The institution operates with modern documentation systems and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure effective treatment delivery for inmates with various mental health conditions.

The psychiatrist will provide specialized psychiatric care for adult male and female inmates in an outpatient county jail setting, seeing approximately 10-15 patients per day. Primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and managing psychotropic medications for forensic patients requiring mental health treatment. The clinician will work Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule of either 8 AM to 3 PM or 9 AM to 4 PM, totaling 35 hours per week with no call requirements. The position requires maintaining detailed documentation while collaborating with correctional staff to ensure coordinated care delivery in the specialized forensic environment.
