Adult Psychiatrist- Inpatient Unit

Olean General Hospital has an opening for a BC/BE Psychiatrist for our IP Behavior Health Unit.

We are a community hospital located 70 miles south of Buffalo, NY; part of the (Login for Information) System. 

Olean General Hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit is a 14-bed inpatient unit that provides a multi-faceted approach to mental health treatment for patients 18 years and older.

UNIT

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attending Psychiatrist to round daily on patients, admit and discharge to behavior health unit.

• Supervise APP's with occasional student rotations.
• Call is 1 week per month.

• Duties include direct in-patient consultation services and emergency room patient consults in conjunction with the mental health team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical degree from an accredited university.

• A valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.

• Board certified in Psychiatry and completed residency in an ACGME accredited Psychiatry residency program..
