This forensic inpatient psychiatric unit operates as a burgeoning reception center serving individuals transferred from county jail facilities. The facility features a large campus requiring extensive walking both indoors and outdoors with limited parking access and multiple levels requiring stair navigation.

The state hosts various seasonal celebrations including cultural festivals and live music performances, providing numerous recreational opportunities for visiting clinicians.

The clinician will provide comprehensive forensic psychiatric care across multiple units including infirmary, reception, and intensive care programming. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, competency assessments, and 2PC evaluations for incoming individuals from county jails. The role requires working independently with the severely mentally ill population while adhering to both DOCCS and OMH regulatory requirements. Computer literacy and Microsoft Word proficiency are essential for documentation and administrative tasks.
