Permanent Consult Liaison Psychiatrist Job | Brooklyn, New York

A large academic medical center in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join an expanding academic and clinical service. This position offers a robust inpatient consultation-liaison role within a large, diverse tertiary care hospital serving a medically complex patient population. The psychiatrist will work closely with medical, surgical, ICU, obstetric, and specialty services, providing comprehensive psychiatric consultation and collaborative care.

Responsibilities include:
--Providing inpatient psychiatric consultations across medical and surgical services
--Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity hospital setting
--Teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students
--Participating in departmental educational and academic activities
--Opportunities for program development and collaborations with other subspecialties based on interest

Qualifications:
--Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry
--Completion of an ACGME-accredited Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship
--Eligibility for New York State medical licensure and DEA certification
--Interest in academic psychiatry and medical education
--Experience or interest in perinatal psychiatry preferred but not required
