About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing, physician-owned behavioral health organization is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to lead a new standalone outpatient psychiatry clinic in North or South Carolina—or a nearby state.
This is a rare chance to build your own private practice with full clinical and administrative support, no startup risk, and 100% autonomy over your schedule, treatment model, and care philosophy. You’ll have the opportunity to grow into a Medical Director role and receive profit-sharing upside as the clinic scales.
The organization already operates multiple dual-specialty neurology and psychiatry practices and is expanding rapidly across the Southeast. This new location will be focused solely on psychiatry—and you’ll be at the center of it all.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adult and adolescent patients
- Collaborate with internal therapy team and mid-level providers (as needed)
- Help design clinical workflows, EMR templates, and staffing models for your new location
- Establish community relationships and grow your patient panel over time
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide input on clinical standards and best practices
What You’ll Need
- MD or DO with active licensure (or eligibility) in NC, SC, or a neighboring state
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing a practice
- Comfortable working autonomously while being supported by a corporate infrastructure
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary up to $280,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Collections-based bonus structure for additional earnings
- 4 weeks vacation + 1 week sick + 1 week CME + $3,500 CME stipend
- All licensing, credentialing, and malpractice (with tail) covered
- Full medical benefits and retirement plan
- Work-life balance: M–Th 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–2pm, no nights/weekends/call
- Supportive infrastructure including in-house credentialing, billing, marketing, and staffing
- Opportunity to become Medical Director of your own practice and share in future upside
Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for a Board Eligible psychiatrist ready to grow, or an early-career psychiatrist seeking autonomy, ownership potential, and the backing of a well-run, supportive medical organization.
