We are looking for a Psychiatrist with previous training in Pain Management or a Psychiatric Resident who would like to do a fellowship in pain management to join our group full time in Allentown, PA. The incoming Physician will provide direct patient care in main office in Allentown 4 days per week and 1 day per week in our satellite office in East Stroudsburg office. The main responsibilities of this position will be to perform Psychiatric care of pain patients and provide psychiatric care to the community, as well as performing interventional pain procedures including TMS.

We are offering a one-year non-accredited multidisciplinary fellowship opportunity in Pain Medicine. The goal of our fellowship is to train future leaders in pain medicine with an emphasis on comprehensive and multidisciplinary approaches to pain. The fellowship integrates the core competencies of pain medicine including Interventional Pain Management, Chronic Pain Management, General Musculoskeletal Care, Pain Pharmacology and Addiction Medicine.
- Learn and perform thorough assessments of patients in chronic pain and develop and implement treatment plans using clinical and scientific data and patient preference
- Effectively communicate diagnoses and treatment plans to patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting
- Competently perform pain management procedures
- Become well experienced in chronic opioid management including the pharmacologic basis for various anti-inflammatory, opioid and adjuvant medications in addition to awareness of adverse reactions
- Attend weekly lectures including journal clubs and incorporate the didactic teaching into the management of their patient’s pain
- Develop the ability to critically appraise evidence about treatment effectiveness as it relates to pain medicine and engage in research
Requirements:
- Psychiatrist with previous training in Pain Management or a Psychiatric Resident seeking a fellowship in pain management
- License to practice in PA
Schedule:
- M-F 8-4
Salary (range):
- $250k-300k per year plus bonus
