An inpatient psychiatric state hospital is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located approximately 2 hours southeast of Dallas, TX.

A Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist is needed for a full-time, on-site role in an inpatient setting that serves a mix of civilly committed and forensic committed patients. The position involves managing a caseload of 1620 patients, including both acute and chronic cases, while working alongside a multidisciplinary recovery team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no required on-call or on-duty responsibilities. Some court testimony may be required.
