A large inpatient facility needs coverage due to their current provider retiring. Credentialing takes about 2-3 weeks, and an active GA license is needed. The facility uses EMR.

Working with the adult population and geriatric population.

DX: wide range of behavioral disorders, some dementia, and mood disorders.

nursing unit supports residents on a locked unit living with dementia and other neurocognitive disorders, some of whom exhibit maladaptive behaviors like self- or other-directed aggression or combativeness with daily living tasks. Additionally, residents have histories of significant inpatient hospitalization and resolved forensic issues, and often have primary or secondary mental illness diagnoses.

Psychologist would be with adults with serious mental illness and dementia or related conditions, preferably in inpatient or skilled nursing settings. Specific competency with developing behavioral interventions, positive behavior support, and/or applied behavior analysis is preferred.

A core responsibility for the PRN psychologist role is to develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
