The Mental Health Clinic enhances the health and readiness of active-duty Airmen by providing mental health assessments, education, consultation, and treatment services to the beneficiary population through a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Education: Graduate from an American Psychological Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- Experience: Have a minimum of one year of experience as a licensed clinical psychologist.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State
DUTIES:

Deliver individual and group psychological treatment to support medical and surgical patients in coping with illness, injury, and recovery.

Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders and develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans.

Contribute to patient rehabilitation by addressing psychological factors affecting recovery and well-being.

Adhere to all professional guidelines, including state licensure requirements, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) privileges, and the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct.

Perform thorough psychological assessments using clinical interviews, standardized testing, and collateral information when appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) by the American Psychiatric Association.
