A Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a clinical psychologist for locum tenens coverage.

Southern Tennessee is full of cool sights and beautiful attractions to visit! Walk, bike, or hike through the Great Smoky Mountain trails or visit the Dollywood theme park!

The clinician will be responsible for conducting court-ordered forensic evaluations, such as determining competency to stand trial, assessing mental status at the time of the alleged offense, evaluating diminished capacity, and determining commutability. They will document all contacts in the medical record and submit forensic conference reports to the court within the designated time frame. The clinician will also complete risk assessment instruments and psychological evaluations as necessary. Additionally, they will assess commitability and complete Certificates of Need for involuntary care and treatment when required. Patients adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity will be regularly evaluated, with documentation of all contacts. The clinician may be subpoenaed to testify in court regarding their findings from the forensic evaluations.
