A hospital is seeking a pulmonary critical care physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in northern Kentucky.
The locum will provide 24-hour on-call coverage, with up to 20 patients per day and variable admissions ranging from 0 to 20. The average inpatient census is 200, with procedures required including intubations, a-lines, central lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and bedside bronchoscopy. The locum will be responsible for rounding on all ICU/CCU patients, but will not cover nocturnist shifts. Hospitalists will respond to codes, and the locum will handle 100% of ICU/CCU calls during their week. The locum will be the sole intensivist on duty, with 24/7 intensivist support from the hospital. They will receive APC support daily from 7 AM to 7 PM. The locum will not be responsible for admissions.
