Radiology Locums Job in Maryland | Full Time Coverage | Beginning in September | Assignment # 110328
Coverage Needed: Full Time coverage from 9/8/2025 - 12/8/2025
Shift Description:
--On call: likely not needed but option preferred. 1-4 call backs per week (If on-call is part of the agreement, provider will cover three hospitals.)
--Coverage is Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
Requirements:
--Board Certified Radiologist with fellowship in IR or CAQ IR
--Fellowship - required
--Required procedures: light to advanced IR. MD procedures include: biopsies (including thyroid FNA), nephro tubes, g-tubes, percutaneous cholecystostomy, IVC filter placement, angio/embo, port placement, chest tube placement, tunnel drainage catheter placement (pleural and peritoneal)
Assignment Details:
--Credentialing 60-90 days
--Trauma level: on-call is level 1; stabilization/prior to transfer is level II or III
--Estimated case load: 10-18 per day
--Duties: IR is responsible for reviewing and finalizing all RA dictations. RA and IR nurse navigator consult with IR daily; RA performs light IR. If RA is off, IR covers. RA procedures include: para, thora, LP, fluoro studies, line removals, nephro tube exchange, drain removal, some myelograms and other drain exchanges.
--Physician coverage: 1 IR and 1 RA (backfilled with Diagnostic Radiologist if RA is off)
--EMR: Cerner and Intelepacs/Clario
--Room/Modality Equipment: GE, Philips, Siemens
