Neuro Hospitalist Stroke Locums Job in Alabama | Preference for Stroke AND Neuro Interventional Coverage June 8-15
Jackson and Coker's valued central Alabama client needs Neuro Hospitalist inpatient/onsite stroke 24-hour coverage for a week this coming June, with a potential for ongoing dates in July & ongoing. Ideal candidate would be able to cover both: stroke & neuro-interventional; However, stroke is a non-negotiable.
Look forward to working alongside a strong neuroscience team that is well known in the state for their multidisciplinary approach and collaborative patient care.
Dates of Coverage:
* Monday, June 8 at 7AM - Monday, June 15 at 7AM
* Potential ongoing intermittent weeklong coverage needs through 2026
Details/Requirements #114748:
-- Required: Active Alabama license or IMLC (can process within 24-48 hours once letter of designation is issued through the Compact)
-- Board Certification required (will accept Board Eligible if within 2 years of training)
-- Stroke coverage is a firm requirement - ideal candidate could cover BOTH neuro-interventional AND stroke
-- Strong preference for Vascular Neurology training and/or fellowship
-- Will be required to be on site at the main facility but also cover the tele-stroke programs at 2 other facilities in tandem
-- Average 25-30 patients seen daily (this includes tele-stroke calls which are generally 3-4 calls/day)
-- Tele calls will vary depending on severity of case, (more severe will require video calls and less will be phone calls)
-- Inpatient APP Support during the weekdays (M-F) from 8:30A-5P generally
-- 100% inpatient followed by call (ER calls & Emergencies); 10 hours per day followed by call
-- Designated Primary Stroke Center
