A hospital is seeking a Women's Imager for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Southern Kentucky.
This breast imaging locum position offers a weekday schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekend call; a 4x10-hour shift option may be considered. The facility seeks long-term support and prefers a single locum for continuity of care. Overtime is only available after scheduled hours. The role requires proficiency in diagnostic imaging and all breast-related procedures, including screenings, diagnostics, biopsies (ultrasound- or mammography-guided), and breast guide wire placements for surgery. Daily case mix includes around 40 mammograms, five ultrasounds, two breast MRIs, and three biopsies, with an average of 60 total procedures per day. EPIC is used for EMR, and the unit is equipped with three Hologic 3D mammography units at the breast center and one at an outpatient location, along with four total 3D screening units. Board certification is required, with a fellowship in breast imaging preferred. Applicants must hold MQSA, BLS, ACLS, DEA certification, and a KY medical license. The team includes one supervisor and five technologists/registration/front desk staff. Hospital privileges are required.
