Job Description

Academic and Community Radiology Needs – Finger Lakes Region of New York

Join the Department of Imaging Sciences at this large academic medical center/private University.  Active recruitment to join a team of outstanding radiologists, dedicated to the highest quality outcomes and educational innovation.  The department has 125 Radiologists and are on track to do 1.3m studies this year!  For the academic positions, you must enjoy working with residents and fellows but for the Community Radiology position there is no teaching required.  Time off is 11 weeks.  If Academic, it is a 4 clinic days/1 academic day position.  For the Community Radiology position it is Monday – Friday.  All Radiologists (excluding Breast Imagers) will partake in 108 weekend hours per year. 

Needs are all on site:

IR, MSK, Body, Breast, MSK, Neuro, Chest – all where you spend 100% of the time in your subspecialty. Compensation base is 475k-525k plus additional premiums for Breast (20k), IR (40-45k), ED overnights (75k) added to the comp. base.  In addition, clinical and academic incentives that are typically another 10%-15% of base compensation. 

Community Radiologists – general or fellowship trained, full service Rads – covering all/most modalities, working at the community hospitals.  Compensation base is 525k-565k.  In addition, clinical incentives that are typically another 10%-15% of base compensation. 

Benefit package (approx.. 100k) includes health, dental, vision, 403b retirement, life insurance, 7k annual professional allowance, etc. including tuition benefits.  Located in a mid-sized city with extensive cultural and recreational opportunities. These include the Memorial Art Gallery, Museum and Science Center, Museum of Play, Zoo, multiple theaters hosting Broadway plays, and numerous outdoor summer festivals. Housing is affordable and there are excellent public schools. The Finger Lakes region of New York is famous for its outdoor sports and is the 3rd largest wine region in the United States.
