24 Hour Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Central Alabama | Seeking 7+ Days per Month of 24-Hour Call Coverage | December 2025 & Ongoing
Jackson and Coker is assisting a central-east Alabama Health System with arranging full-time 24-hour Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens coverage in 2026. The client is seeking around 7-10 days per month of coverage to help cover the ED/call schedule while working alongside a newly trained fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon that recently joined their team.
Dates of coverage needed:
* Orientation to be scheduled the morning of your first shift
* Wednesday, 12/24 at 7AM - Monday, 1/5 at 7AM (open to partial coverage if not able to cover both holidays)
* Monday, 1/19 at 7AM - Monday, 1/26 at 7AM
* Monday, 2/16 at 7AM - Monday, 2/23 at 7AM
* Friday, 3/6 at 7AM - Monday, March 16 at 7AM **priority**
Details/Requirements for Assignment #112344:
-- Location: One hour from Montgomery, Alabama
-- Active Alabama license required - WE CAN LICENSE IN 2 HOURS IF YOU HAVE IMLC!
-- Board Certification or true Board Eligibility required
-- 24-hour inpatient call coverage only; Will be covering the ED
-- Current staff: 1 CT Surgeon
-- Must be willing to working alongside new surgeon & offer guidance as needed
-- Inpatient APP support + first assist
-- Level 3 Trauma Center
-- Approximately 280 CV Surgeries annually
