Thoracic Surgeon – Full-Time

A leading academic medical center in Florida is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join an established and collaborative surgical team. This position offers the ability to practice the full scope of thoracic surgery in a high-volume setting supported by advanced technology, skilled OR teams, and multidisciplinary specialists.
Position Summary
The Thoracic Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care to patients with thoracic disease, including operative and non-operative management. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities include:

Evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of thoracic conditions

Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities

Participation in multidisciplinary case conferences and care planning

Documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up

Adherence to professional, ethical, and clinical standards of practice
Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Surgery Fellowship

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery

Unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the State of Florida

Strong commitment to patient safety, quality, and academic/clinical excellence
Compensation & Schedule

Full-time, on-site position

Daytime schedule, with call as assigned
